Field operator
Pepper
The crew’s legal and social-engineering mind, with a physical presence that can change a conversation.
Pepper is a field operator aboard the CSS Rebel Ascendant, specializing in legal cover, social engineering, and demolitions. Before the Clonmel insertion, he volunteers to handle any questioning.
He is a large man with an aquiline nose and heavy brows, habitually neater than the crew around him. He wears a silver cross, rubbing it between his fingers while waiting and tucking it beneath his shirt before an operation. Kaid has learned to watch for the moment Pepper stops joking before trouble.
