Svarog is an industrial member world of the [Confederacy](https://emissary.mdscur.com/encyclopedia/confederacy/). Its manufacturing capacity depends on more than factories. Tooling, calibration templates, process records, and the people who know how to use them form a connected body of expertise.

## Industrial geography

The Kovachev industrial core is the production center around which much of the world’s working infrastructure is organized. Perun provides an important freight and service connection. Volkov Docks and the Zarya service belt belong to the wider network of movement, housing, utilities, and production.

This is a lived industrial landscape. Workshops and maintenance bays are close to the places where people wait, eat, look after children, and arrange the next part of their day. The same corridor can serve a cart of machine components and a family moving between rooms.

## What a factory contains

A machine’s usefulness depends on its condition, its calibration, and the person operating it. Svarog’s process knowledge also survives in documents, including hard-copy templates and instructions. The distinction between equipment and expertise is especially important here: carrying a tool does not automatically preserve the ability to reproduce its work.

The companion article on [working life](https://emissary.mdscur.com/encyclopedia/svarog-culture/) follows this connection between industrial skill and ordinary human life.

## In the Confederacy

Svarog has representation in the [Congress of Member Worlds](https://emissary.mdscur.com/encyclopedia/congress-of-member-worlds/), alongside other sovereign member worlds. Its place in *Topology of Devotion* brings the obligations of that alliance into focus.
